Passover

Passover is approaching, and we are enjoying learning all about it! This week, we started learning about the Seder (Passover meal), Matzah and the 4 cups of wine/grapejuice.

We practiced colors and cutting this week- the children are doing fantastic! Lastly, we continued with the Hebrew alphabet learning Gimmel for "gelidah- ice cream".

Passover

From the Purim Holiday straight into the Passover Holiday, the children really enjoyed hearing about the story of Passover.
We learned all about King Pharaoh, how he was a very mean King who made the Jewish people work very hard making pyramids in Egypt.

We experienced this with a sandy like texture and made our very own pyramids.

We reviewed all about triangles, squares, and circles.

The children made pyramids out of all types of things- cups, magnets, and blocks.

We then went into the 10 plagues/ punishments that happened to Pharaoh because he didn't want to let the Jewish people leave Egypt. We learned how the water turned into blood and did a fun experiment with that - changing water into red. We learned about three more plagues, and the children thoroughly enjoyed listening to the story!

Lastly, we did a project with the letter “C” and chose all the stickers that start with C. Stickers is a great fine motor activity! Try it at home- they love it.
